Internet Data Meter  ·  Effective Date: August 6, 2026 Last Updated: August 28, 2026

1. Overview

AGM Apps ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Internet Data Meter mobile application (the "App"), a utility that shows your device's live internet speed and tracks its data usage. The App has no accounts and no sign-up.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, why, and what your choices are. The device meter, dashboard, graph, daily device usage, and primary status-bar meter are free forever. Each installation also receives 30 days of Pro access. After the trial, a single one-time Pro purchase permanently adds shared-connection speeds, the optional shared-connection status-bar indicator, and connection details. There is no subscription.

The free and trial versions of the App display advertising. Buying the one-time Pro unlock removes those in-app ads. Advertising is served by third-party ad networks, described in Section 4. We do not operate our own analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

2. Your Meter and Connection Readings Stay on Your Device

The numbers the App exists to show you — device and shared-connection download/upload speed, data usage, and the optional Wi-Fi, cellular, and battery readings — are measured or read on your device and stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, are not backed up to our servers, and are not visible to us in any form. Uninstalling the App deletes the readings and counters saved by the App.

If you choose to enable Pro connection details, the App reads a current snapshot of the connected Wi-Fi band, channel, frequency, and signal; current cellular radio/band/channel/signal details for active SIMs where Android makes them available; and a best-effort battery percentage or remaining mAh value. These values are shown only while you use the App and are not saved or sent to us. The App does not inspect packet contents, websites, apps using data, or the identity of anyone using your hotspot.

3. Information We Collect for License Checks

To verify your 30-day Pro trial or one-time Pro purchase and to protect the App against piracy, the App contacts our license server. Roughly every 3 days — and when you buy or restore the Pro unlock — it sends:

Like almost any internet service, our server also sees the IP address a request arrives from, in transient operational logs used for debugging and abuse prevention. We do not use IP addresses to identify or profile you.

Advertising is a separate category of data handling. It is described in Section 4 and is not sent to our license server.

4. Advertising

Unless you have purchased the one-time Pro unlock, the App shows advertising. The current on-screen format is a banner on the main dashboard. The App includes advertising SDKs that may also prepare other standard mobile ad formats as part of mediation. Buying Pro removes those in-app ads; the free device meter continues to work either way.

Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay, which runs a real-time auction across partner networks. The networks currently connected are:

LevelPlay's own mediation SDK is part of that stack. See the Unity Privacy Policy.

Depending on your consent choices and device ad settings, those partners may collect or receive:

We do not receive your Advertising ID, and we do not use it to build a profile of you. Ad partners act as independent controllers of the advertising data they collect. Their privacy policies govern that processing.

Consent and your choices

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and in other regions where Google requires it, the App presents Google's User Messaging Platform consent form. Your answer governs whether personalized advertising is served. You can also reset or limit advertising identifiers in Android Settings (typically Google > Ads, or Privacy > Ads). If you buy the Pro unlock, in-app ads from this App stop; that does not change settings you already chose in Android or with Google.

To be precise about the sequence: advertising components can begin loading as the App starts, which may happen while the consent form is still on screen. That start-up activity can involve a network request to an ad provider. Your answer governs whether personalized advertising is served. If you would rather no advertising ran at all, the one-time Pro unlock removes in-app ads.

The App is intended for users 18 and over. It does not treat users as children for advertising purposes and does not participate in Google Play's Families program.

5. What We Do NOT Collect

6. How We Use Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use license-check data for advertising. Advertising data is handled by the ad partners in Section 4, according to the consent choices those partners receive.

7. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following:

We operate no servers of our own outside Google Cloud. License-check data is processed by Google as our processor. Advertising partners process advertising data as independent controllers, not as our processors.

8. License Checks in Detail

About every 3 days — and when you buy or restore the Pro unlock — the App performs the check described in Section 3 and receives back a short-lived, cryptographically signed confirmation. That confirmation keeps Pro features working for roughly 4 days without any further contact, so brief offline stretches do not interrupt them. If the App cannot reach the server for longer than that, Pro access pauses until the next successful check. The free device meter and its primary status-bar indicator remain available.

The server stores the result of each check as a license record: the installation ID, the key fingerprint, whether the installation is in a Pro trial or has a Pro unlock, the relevant dates, and — for purchases — the encrypted purchase token. That record is what lets your Pro unlock survive reinstalls and new phones.

Advertising traffic described in Section 4 is separate from this license check and goes to the ad partners, not to our license server.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

License records are kept for as long as the App is offered, because they are what keeps a one-time Pro unlock working — including years from now, on a phone you have not bought yet. Transient operational logs follow Google Cloud's default retention for the project and are not kept as a long-term archive.

You can ask us to delete the license records for your installation at any time by emailing [email protected]. One honest caveat: deleting those records removes the server's memory of your trial or unlock, so the App will treat the installation as new at its next check. A genuine Google Play purchase can always be restored afterwards, because Google Play — not our server — is the permanent record of what you bought.

10. Children's Privacy

Internet Data Meter is a general-audience utility rated for users 18 and over on Google Play. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

11. Data Security

All communication between the App and our server uses encrypted connections (TLS). License confirmations are digitally signed so they cannot be forged. Purchase tokens are additionally encrypted with AES-256 before they are stored, and the signing keys live in Google Cloud's Secret Manager, not in the App. The device key that identifies your installation is created inside your phone's secure hardware and never leaves it — only its public fingerprint does. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but the App's design keeps the amount of data worth protecting deliberately small.

12. Security Incidents and Notification

We will be straightforward about what a breach of this App's data could and could not expose. Our server holds no names, no email addresses, and no payment details — a breach could expose random installation IDs, key fingerprints, license dates, and encrypted purchase tokens. That is not nothing, but it identifies installations, not people.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting data under our control, we will investigate immediately and:

One honest caveat: because the App has no accounts, we hold no way to contact you individually. Public notice on our website and in the App is how we would reach you, and that is a direct consequence of collecting so little about you in the first place.

13. Legal Bases, Retention, and International Transfers

13.1 Who Is Responsible

AGM Apps, a software developer established in the State of Florida, United States, is the controller of the license-check data described in Section 3. Contact details are in Section 17. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to under Article 37 GDPR. Google LLC acts as our processor for billing verification, integrity verification, hosting, and storage. The advertising partners named in Section 4 are independent controllers of the advertising data they collect.

13.2 Legal Basis for Processing (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the GDPR requires us to tell you the lawful basis for each thing we do:

What we do Lawful basis
Verify your Pro trial or Pro unlock so the App can provide the features you chosePerformance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b)
Verify App integrity and enforce the installation limit to prevent piracy and fraudLegitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f): protecting a one-time-purchase app from abuse
Revoke access after a refund or voided purchase reported by Google PlayPerformance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b); legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f)
Keep transient operational logs; retain records where law requires; respond to lawful requestsLegitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f); legal obligation — Art. 6(1)(c)
Show personalized or non-personalized ads in the free and trial versionsConsent — Art. 6(1)(a), where the consent form is required; otherwise legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f) in showing advertising that supports the free App. You can withdraw consent on the form or in Android ad settings without losing the free meter.

The optional signal-details permission is requested only after you choose to enable that local feature; it is not used to collect or transmit geographical location to us. There is no automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects; the license check decides only whether this installation has Pro access.

13.3 How Long Data Is Kept

13.4 International Transfers

AGM Apps is established in the United States, and license records are stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. If you use the App from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the data described in Section 3 is therefore transferred to and processed in the United States by Google LLC as our processor. Those transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions where the recipient is certified, and otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, as incorporated into Google's data processing terms.

Advertising partners may also transfer advertising data internationally under their own mechanisms. See the policies linked in Section 4.

14. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA & Similar Laws)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Spelled out against the GDPR articles, and available to you in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — the EDPB directory for EEA residents, the ICO for the UK, or the FDPIC for Switzerland.

One limit we would rather state plainly than discover with you later: because the App has no accounts, our records are keyed to a random installation ID, not to your name or email — so on our own we usually cannot tell which records are "yours." If you contact us, we will work with you in good faith to locate the records for your installation (for a purchase, your Google Play order number is usually enough) and act on your request. Where we genuinely cannot identify your data, Article 11 GDPR applies and we will tell you so rather than guess.

15. U.S. State Privacy Rights

This section applies if you live in a U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law — including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island, plus any other state whose law is in effect when you read this.

15.1 What Is Collected

Using the categories named in the California Consumer Privacy Act:

We collect no sensitive personal information, no precise geolocation, no biometrics, and no browsing history of sites or apps you visit. We do not sell personal information for money. Under some U.S. state laws, allowing advertising partners to use identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising is treated as a “share.” That sharing happens only through the ad partners in Section 4, and only when personalized ads are permitted by your consent or device settings. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

15.2 Your Rights

15.3 How to Make a Request

Email [email protected] with the request type in the subject line. We will acknowledge within 10 business days and answer within 45 days, extendable once by another 45 with notice. Verification works as described in Section 14: we match you to your installation in good faith, usually through your Google Play order number, and we will tell you honestly when records cannot be tied to you. Authorized agents may act for you with your signed permission or a valid power of attorney. For advertising data held by Google, Unity, or Liftoff, you may also use the controls those companies provide, including Android advertising settings and the consent form where it is shown.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last Updated" date above will be revised, and significant changes will be communicated through an App update or in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
