AGM Apps ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Memory Cartographer mobile game (the "App"), a memory game for iOS in which you study a map for a few seconds and then redraw it from memory to be scored on accuracy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
The short version: Memory Cartographer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us or to any third party. There are no developer accounts, no sign-ups, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking. The game runs entirely on your device, and an optional iCloud feature lets you back up your own progress to your own private Apple iCloud account.
We, AGM Apps, collect no personal information whatsoever. We operate no servers and receive no data from the App. Specifically, the App does not:
The App lets you create one or more local player profiles and enter a display name for each (for example, your first name or a nickname). This name is optional, is chosen by you, and is used only to label your scores inside the App. It is stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your own private iCloud account — never on any AGM Apps server. See Sections 3 and 4.
The App saves a small amount of game data locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage. This data stays on your device unless you turn on the optional iCloud sync described in Section 4. It consists only of:
This information is stored solely so the game remembers your profiles, scores, and settings between sessions. If you delete the App, all of this locally stored data is permanently removed from your device.
Memory Cartographer includes an optional feature that uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to back up your player profiles and scores so they can carry over between your own Apple devices. This feature relies entirely on Apple's iCloud service.
You are in control: you can manage or disable iCloud for the App at any time in Settings → [your name] → iCloud on your device. The only information ever placed in iCloud is the profile name(s) and scores described in Section 3.
This version of the App contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs) for advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or social features. No third party receives any information from the App. The only external service used is Apple's own iCloud, and only if you choose to enable it (Section 4).
A future version of the App may introduce advertising. If and when it does, we will update this Privacy Policy before that version is released and clearly describe exactly what is collected, by whom, and how you can control it. The version covered by this policy contains no advertising.
The App is fully playable without an internet connection. Memorizing maps, drawing, scoring, and saving your progress locally all work offline. The App only uses a network connection in two cases: (1) if you enable the optional iCloud sync described in Section 4, and (2) if you tap a link we provide — such as this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use — which opens in your device's web browser.
Memory Cartographer is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the App collects no personal information to us at all, no information is ever collected by us from children. The App complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws. Any profile name a child might enter stays on the device (and in the family's own iCloud, if enabled) and is never sent to us. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
Because the App stores its profiles, scores, and settings only on your device — and, optionally, in your own private iCloud — your information is protected by iOS's built-in security, including the App's sandboxed storage, your device's encryption, and Apple's iCloud security. There is no AGM Apps server, database, or cloud account that could be breached on our side, because we hold none of your data.
Because we hold no personal data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf — your data is in your hands and Apple's iCloud.
The App is available worldwide. Since Memory Cartographer does not collect, process, sell, or share any personal data with AGM Apps, the data-subject rights provided by laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) are inherently satisfied — there is no personal data held by us to disclose, delete, or sell. Any data you sync to iCloud is processed by Apple under Apple's own privacy terms. We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not collect any.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if a future version of the App adds new features such as advertising. When we make changes, the "Last Updated" date above will be revised, and significant changes will be communicated through an App update. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
