MeterDeck  ·  Effective and Last Updated: October 7, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how MeterDeck for Windows (the "App"), provided by AGM Apps, handles information. MeterDeck is a system monitor that places live meters in the Windows taskbar. It has no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics, and AGM Apps does not receive your readings or settings.

1. What MeterDeck Reads

To show its meters and panels, MeterDeck reads the following from Windows on your PC:

2. Everything Stays on Your PC

These readings are processed locally and shown only on your screen. MeterDeck does not upload, sell, or share them, and it does not build a profile of you. It does not collect your name, email address, location, or advertising identifiers.

3. Settings Stored on Your PC

Your preferences, such as which items are on, their order and style, theme, position, update speed, and units, are saved in a small settings file on your PC. The settings folder is shown on the About tab. It is not sent anywhere, and you can reset every option on the About tab or delete the folder at any time.

4. The One Network Check

The optional Latency item sends a small ping to measure round-trip time. By default the ping goes to your own router. You can instead choose a public server such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8, or turn it off in Items → Network. A ping contains no personal information, but any server you ping can see your public IP address, as with any internet traffic. MeterDeck makes no other network requests of its own.

5. Open at Login

If you turn on Open at login, MeterDeck registers itself with Windows so it starts when you sign in. You can turn this off in Preferences or in Windows Settings → Apps → Startup.

6. Microsoft Store and Windows

If you get MeterDeck from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download, updates, the free 30-day trial, and the purchase under its own terms and privacy practices. MeterDeck is a paid app with a launch price of US $4.99; see the Terms of Use for details. AGM Apps does not receive your payment card, billing address, or Microsoft account credentials. Microsoft gives developers sales and acquisition reports, such as the country and date of a purchase and standard crash information. Those reports do not include your name, payment details, or readings. AGM Apps does not receive your readings through the Store. Windows itself is governed by Microsoft’s privacy statement.

7. Children

MeterDeck is a general utility and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

8. Your Control

You can turn any item off, hide the taskbar meters, reset every option, or quit MeterDeck completely from the tray icon. Uninstalling removes the program; delete the settings folder to remove everything else.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the App or applicable law changes. The date at the top identifies the current version, and the same notice appears in the App under Preferences → Privacy & Terms.
