AGM Apps ("we," "our," or "us") operates the PeekScope application for iPad (iPadOS) (the "App"). PeekScope shows the live picture from a USB endoscope, borescope, or other USB Video Class (UVC) camera plugged into your device, and lets you save photos and videos of what it sees. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and protect your privacy when you use the App.
The short version: what your camera sees stays on your device. The App has no user accounts and no servers of ours. The only things that ever leave your device are the technical signals that the advertising and app-store services described in Section 4 collect for themselves.
The App does not ask you to type in any personal information. There is no sign-up, no name, no email address. What you create while using the App is:
All of this is stored on your device only, as described in Section 3.
To open a USB camera, the App reads its technical description from the operating system: the camera's name, the video formats and resolutions it supports, and its model identifier. This describes the camera hardware, not you. It is used to set up the video stream and is shown on the in-app Debug screen so you can troubleshoot a camera that will not connect. It is not transmitted anywhere by the App.
We do not collect any personal information automatically, and the App contains no analytics, crash-reporting, or usage-tracking code of ours. However, the third-party advertising and the App Store services integrated into the App collect certain technical information for their own purposes, as described in Section 4.
Video from the camera is decoded and drawn on your screen by the App, on your device, and nothing else. It is not recorded unless you tap Record, not uploaded, and not analyzed. When you use Freeze, the App holds a single frame on screen so you can look closely; that frame is discarded when you resume.
Your preferences and the HD Day timer are stored in Apple's UserDefaults storage in the App's private container. The Debug screen keeps a short, in-memory log of app events (camera connected, format chosen, ad loaded, errors) together with the camera description from Section 2.2 and your device model and OS version. That log lives only in the App's memory while it runs, is cleared when the App closes, and is copied to your clipboard only when you tap the Copy button — nothing on that screen is sent anywhere by the App.
Like any app's settings, your preferences and the HD Day timer are included in the iCloud Backup or computer backup of your device, if you have one turned on. Your photos and videos live in the Photos app, so whether they are backed up or synced to iCloud Photos is decided by your own iCloud settings and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy — not by us. AGM Apps has no access to your iCloud account.
The App is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK): a banner at the bottom of every screen, and an optional rewarded video ad (Section 4.2). To serve and measure those ads, Google may collect and process:
Google never receives your camera picture, your photos, or your videos. The ad components have no access to the video stream or your media.
The App does not ask for permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. Without that permission, iOS does not give the App or Google your advertising identifier (IDFA), so advertising cannot be personalized by tracking you across other companies' apps and websites. Google may still use signals such as your IP address, device type, and the ads you interact with inside this App. You can further limit Apple-level ad personalization in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads.
The App also lists Google's SKAdNetwork identifier. SKAdNetwork is Apple's privacy-preserving way of letting an ad network learn that an ad led to an app install, without identifying you.

Out of the box, the App shows the camera at standard definition (up to 640×480) with banner ads. If you choose to watch one rewarded video ad to the end, the App unlocks the camera's full resolution and turns banners off for the next 24 hours (the "HD Day"). Google's SDK tells the App only that the ad was completed; the App then writes a timestamp to your device. No record of your choice is sent to us. Google records the ad view for its own reporting under the policy linked above.
The App does not currently show a separate advertising-consent dialog. Whether advertising in the App is personalized is governed by your device-level advertising settings described in Section 4.1 and by App Tracking Transparency, which the App does not request. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, personalized advertising requires your consent. The App currently has no way to collect that consent, so we do not rely on it; how Google serves advertising in those regions when no consent signal is present is governed by Google's own rules.
To be precise about the sequence, because it matters: the advertising components begin loading as the App starts, before you have tapped anything. That start-up activity involves a network request to Google. If you would rather no banner ran at all, watching one rewarded ad turns banners off for 24 hours (Section 4.2).
The one-time Recording Unlock (Section 6) is sold and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). Apple handles payment, receipts, and refunds. The App asks Apple whether your Apple ID owns the unlock and receives a yes-or-no answer; we never see your payment details, your name, or your Apple ID. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Each permission the App holds exists for one visible reason:
The App keeps the screen awake while a camera is streaming so the picture does not go dark mid-inspection. It does not request location, microphone, Bluetooth, local network, or tracking permission.
Photos and live viewing are free. Recording video is a single one-time purchase called Recording Unlock (US $4.99 or local equivalent). It is not a subscription and does not renew. When you buy it:
Start with the shape of the risk: because the App has no user accounts and your pictures, videos, and settings never reach us, a breach of our systems could not expose your data. There is nothing there to take.
If we nonetheless become aware of a security incident affecting personal information under our control, we will investigate immediately and:
We want to be straight with you about one limitation: we hold no email address or other contact details for you, so we cannot send you a personal message. Publication in the App and on our website is how you would be told. We would rather state that honestly than promise a notification we have no way to deliver.
The App is an inspection tool intended for adults — mechanics, plumbers, electricians, home owners, hobbyists — and is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
The App is available worldwide. Your captures and settings are stored on your device in your own country. Google and Apple may process the technical data described in Section 4 on servers in other countries, including the United States, according to their own policies.
AGM Apps, a software developer established in the State of Florida, United States, is the controller of the limited personal data described in this Policy. Contact details are in Section 15. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to under Article 37 GDPR.
Where the App stores data only on your device — your photos, videos, and preferences — you control that data and we are neither its controller nor its processor. We have no technical means of reaching it.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the GDPR requires us to tell you the lawful basis for each thing we do:

Nothing you provide is a statutory or contractual requirement. There is no automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects, and no profiling of you.
Where a processor handles data outside your region, that transfer relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, as set out in that provider's own terms — Google (AdMob) and Apple (App Store) publish theirs. We have no servers of our own, so we do not transfer your data anywhere ourselves.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Because we hold nothing that identifies you, the practical way to exercise most of these is on your own device (Section 11); for anything else, email us (Section 15). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You have full control over your data:
This section applies if you live in a U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law — including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island, plus any other state whose law is in effect when you read this. Where a right below exists only under your state's law, we honor it for residents of that state.
Using the categories named in the California Consumer Privacy Act:
We never receive your photos, videos, or the live camera picture. We collect no Social Security numbers, no financial account or card numbers, no precise location, no biometrics, no health data, no contacts, no messages, and no audio.
We do not collect sensitive personal information and never use personal information to infer characteristics about you. What your camera is pointed at is your business: whether it is a drain, an engine bay, or anything else, the picture never leaves your device.
We have never sold personal information for money and do not do so. But we are going to be straightforward about something a lot of apps word carefully: Google, which serves the ads in this App, receives your IP address and may use it, together with in-app ad interactions, to target ads to you in other apps. Under California law that can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and under several other state laws as "targeted advertising" or a "sale." We would rather tell you that plainly than rely on a narrow reading of the word "sell."
You can stop it at any time, free:
We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.
Where these web pages are read in a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser. iOS does not send GPC to apps. Inside the App, tracking is off by design because the App never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission, which we treat as a standing opt-out.
Email [email protected] with the request type in the subject line. We operate entirely online and deal with you directly, so email is our designated method. We will acknowledge within 10 business days and answer within 45 days, extendable once by another 45 with notice.
About verification: the App has no user accounts and we hold nothing tied to your name, so in most cases we genuinely cannot connect any record to you as a person. We will say so plainly rather than pretend otherwise, and we will treat a deletion request as an opt-out of sale and sharing. The fastest and most complete remedy is in your own hands: delete your captures and delete the App. That erases everything, immediately.
Authorized agents may act for you with your signed permission or a valid power of attorney. We may contact you to confirm it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, the "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised. Significant changes will be communicated through an App update notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
The App may contain links to external websites and app-store pages (such as our developer website, other AGM Apps applications, Google's policies, or Apple's policies). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites.
